Seit nunmehr einem guten Jahr färbe ich Wolle, Seide und Leinen mit pflanzlichen Farbstoffen. Diese stelle ich auf meiner Seite „Wilde Farben„ vor. Die Natur bietet uns eine außergewöhnlich reiche Vielfalt an herrlichen Farben. Die lebendigen Farbstoffe lassen sich aus Blättern, Wurzeln, Rinden. Blüten, Beeren, Pilzen und Flechten gewinnen. Färberpflanzen bieten ein unerschöpfliches und komplexes Spektrum an Farben, die sich in Harmonie ergänzen.
Wenn ich die Grünfärbungen so vor mir sehe, dann fällt mir eine Zeile aus Bilbos Lied ein: „ … in every wood, in every spring, there is a different green.“ Die Wollstränge auf dem Foto wurden mit Johanniskrautblüten, roten Haselnussblättern, Schilfblüten, Blutpflaumeblättern, roten Berberitzenblättern, roten Zwiebelschalen und Blutbuchenblätter gefärbt.
